Smile Elephant Sanctuary is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located in the Mae Taeng River Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is a cooperative between members of the Thai traditional people who are elephant caretakers and Chiang Mai locals who work with Thai traditional people and elephants for many years and are concerned about elephant's health and quality of life.

We have programs in this new camp dedicated where you not only play with them, but you will learn about their lives and also how to make medicines and take care of them. You won’t be able to ride them! but you will gain a better understanding and connection with our elephants.

Currently, New Elephant Home is an elephant conservation center with 15 elephants. In the past, my father used to run it as an elephant camp for riding and elephant shows until he passed away. I, as the eldest son, along with my mother from the Long Neck Karen tribe, have been taking care of these elephants and conducting ethical operations. We work hard to ensure the happiness of these elephants and provide them with a good environment. This is the world's first elephant conservation center operated by the Long Neck Karen tribe.

This exciting full-day trip will take you to the beautiful mountain jungle and rivers of Mae Tang, just north of Chiang Mai where you will: visit an ethical elephant rescue camp and learn how to feed and care for Thailand’s rescued Asian elephants; walk alongside the elephants and observe their natural behaviours; visit the beautiful and fun Sticky Waterfalls wherep you can cool off and relax.

This exciting full-day trip will take you to the beautiful mountain jungle and rivers of Mae Taeng, just north of Chiang Mai where you will: visit an ethical elephant rescue camp and learn how to feed and care for Thailand’s rescued Asian elephants; walk alongside the elephants and observe their natural behaviours; trek to a magnificent 20 m waterfall and relax in the cool mountain water; enjoy the thrill of white water rafting on the Mae Taeng River.

Experience the Incredible fusion of our Elephant Sanctuary & Bamboo Rafting package. Spend a full day discovering the magic of elephants, observing their daily routines and behaviors in their natural sanctuary. Then, raft along the Peaceful Wang River & immerse yourself in the green paradise. This program allows you to celebrate the beauty of both land and water.

Welcome and introduce for Secret Elephant Sanctuary by English tour guide. Then prepare food for feeding elephants such as Banana, Watermelon, Sugar cane, and other things the elephant can eat. After that trek to the hill with elephants they can fine own food in the nature. Then getting arrive to the Mud spa can join in the mud with elephants. After that follow elephants to the nature pool in the river stream form mountain. And last activity making elephant’s laxative herb medicine. Take a shower and stop for lunch drive back to the hotel will reaching by 2 pm.
